If you are going to the Beehive in Armonk, NY – make them!

But that’s not what this post is about. It’s about meeting some friends from way back – both of whom I know from high school. We hung out a lot in our twenties but then we kind of drifted away. That’s largely because none of them had kids. And kids, as some of you know first-hand, certainly are life-changing!

So, first of all, I gained some weight. And, they didn’t. So, that was my first reservation – that they might have a first impression. And then, we talked about everything. Everything. From impending peri-menopause to how hard it is to have teenagers. And, they listened to my stories about my kids. In fact, I sort of monopolized the conversation and I needed to. Just that morning I had a hard time w my kids. After I complained a bit, I said that I shouldn’t have told them the stuff that I had. My friend, Sheila, looked at me in such a caring way and said, “Why not? If you can’t tell us, who can you tell?” And, I guess that hadn’t changed in the years we weren’t in touch.

So, despite my reservations, we had a really great time and we promised to see each other again soon. We sat at that restaurant for two hours and there was so much more to say. So, So – reservations at the Beehive – no reservations about good friends.
