“Dance! Dance!” I wish… I added a thing here, a bite there – I’ve found myself too strapped for time to make lunch and so I have to grab something. Luckily, I am going to Mrs. Greens for a healthy meal. Karen, who is my mentor, recommends a 3 x 3 way to get back on the right track. She says that the best way is to spend 3 days weaning off of the foods that you have been binging/eating and then the next 3 days eating a very clean diet with as much raw as possible. I’m at that point right now.

Still, I’m finding my determination wavering. Why is that? Well, it hit me suddenly this morning. I have ZERO time for myself these days. I work all day, do errands at lunchtime, run home to cook dinner (or uncook in my case!) play with kids (which I enjoy!) get ready for bed and pass out after reading a bedtime story. I realized this morning that my body is trying to tell me something. It’s trying to get my attention.

My body is something that I need to treat lovingly and acknowledge when it is tired or the reverse, when it needs exercise. Actually, I’m fighting a cold right now and my body is screaming “rest! REST!” And, what do I do? Not rest. So – let me take some time to listen to my body. This is actual meditation time and it doesn’t take long to hear an answer, really – it’s true. I get an image when I get this way. I’m curled up on my couch with a blanket around me, reading a good book. For you it might be a bubble bath, which is fabulous as well.

I’m going to journal a bit as well to see if I’m missing anything. Listen to your body and give it what it needs aside from healthy food.
